TRAVEL INFORMATON
Passports
& Visas
A
standard 10 year passport is required for entry to Zambia and
should be valid for the complete holiday including at least 6
months validity (after return). British Nationals do not require
a visa to enter Zambia.
Health & Medical
Requirements
If
you have recently visited a Yellow Fever infected area you are
required to have a valid vaccination certificate which must be
taken on holiday with you.
Malaria
is present and you are also advised to take a course of anti-Malarial
pills.
We
strongly advise you to reconfirm your vaccination requirements
with your own/family doctor. Vaccines are currently available
for many infectious diseases. The immunity from vaccines is never
immediate or total and it can take some weeks to get full protection.
In addition it could take several trips to your doctor so you
must plan your vaccinations WELL IN ADVANCE.
Information
is available from the Department
of Health
Full
medical and pharmaceutical facilities are not always available
in Zambia and if you use special or particular prescriptions
you are advised to take sufficient supplies with you.
Please
ensure you take all of your valid vaccination certificates on
holiday with you as you could be asked to produce them at the
airport.
Lastly
and most importantly, you should never travel to a foreign country
without taking Holiday and Travel Insurance.
